What we collect
We collect only what we need to run the service:
- Account details: your name, work email and company.
- The tasks you describe, and the briefs and drafts Midnight writes for you.
- Content from tools you connect, limited to what a task needs to read.
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, device and browser type.
How we use it
To run your night shifts and deliver your briefs; to keep the service secure and fix what breaks; and to send service email such as receipts, brief delivery and security notices.
We send product news only if you ask for it, and every message has a one-click unsubscribe.
Your data and AI models
Your data is never used to train any model, ours or anyone else's. The model providers we work with process it only to complete your tasks, under agreements that forbid them to keep it or train on it.
How long we keep it
Briefs and task history stay while your account is open. Content read from connected tools is cached for up to 30 days. When you close your account we delete your data within 30 days, and from backups within 90.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access inside the company is limited to the people who need it and is logged. Team workspaces add single sign-on and an audit log, and the service is tested by an independent firm every year.
Your rights
You can see, correct, export or delete your data at any time from your settings, or by writing to us. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, the UK GDPR or the CCPA) you may have further rights, and you can complain to your data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If we change something that matters, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
